New Construction Mailboxes
If you're purchasing a new construction home, bring a copy of your HUD Settlement Statement to your local post office to get a key for your mailbox. Mailboxes are located throughout the development.
Homestead Tax Credit
About two weeks after closing, bring your Settlement Statement or a copy of your Warranty Deed to the appropriate county office to apply for your Homestead Tax Credit. Only one buyer needs to be present — it takes just a few minutes and can reduce your property taxes. Many counties also offer online or email filing.
